M&A Advisory

Strategic growth through acquisition or exit

Larger and more strategic transactions, where the question is not only price but what the combined business becomes. Buy-side and sell-side mandates, with the integration thinking done before the deal closes.

Sell-side mandates

Positioning the business for strategic buyers rather than financial ones, where the value lies in what the acquirer can do with it. Preparation, outreach, negotiation and diligence management through to close.

Buy-side mandates

Acquisition against a defined thesis: target identification, evaluation, structuring and negotiation, with integration planned from the outset rather than improvised afterwards.

Integration and transition planning

Most of the value in a strategic transaction is realised, or lost, after completion. Systems that do not talk to each other, two sales teams selling against each other, and key people leaving in month four are ordinary outcomes of a deal closed without a plan.

We work the integration question during the transaction rather than after it, which is also while it can still change the price and the terms.

Strategic partnerships and market expansion

Not every growth question needs an acquisition.
  • Partnership and joint venture structuring
  • Market and geographic expansion assessment
  • Build, buy or partner analysis
  • Minority investment and recapitalisation options
  • Carve-outs and divestitures
  • Succession and ownership transition planning
